NEIGHBORHOOD LINK TEAMS UP WITH AT&T WIRELESS TO LAUNCH THE MIAMI METRO MARKET

Leading Civic Resource Continues Growth and Expansion

MIAMI, FL. - February 4, 2002 - Neighborhood Link (www.neighborhoodlink.com), the Internet-based community network that enables neighborhoods and community organizations in participating metropolitan areas to create their own free, interactive Web sites today welcomed the city of Miami and all municipalities in the greater Miami metro area to their online community. The addition of Miami metro’s 2,100-plus new online neighborhoods brings the total number of Neighborhood Link cities deployed to 43 since launching in October 1998 and the total of neighborhoods online to over 32,000.

Neighborhood Link’s alliance with AT&T Wireless facilitated the deployment of over 2,100 free neighborhood Web sites in the Miami metro area. Neighborhood Link is offering a unique service on the Web by bringing people together within a neighborhood and offering them a chance to build a stronger sense of community and a closer link to the local civic community. By offering its users the ability to set up their own free neighborhood Web sites, Neighborhood Link has become the first Internet company to offer civic communication between citizens and the local government.

Neighborhood Link becomes fully integrated into participating communities through community partnerships with local governments, neighborhood groups and community organizations such as public schools, police departments and community newspapers. Each neighborhood Web site provides useful information such as event and meeting schedules, important notices, the association’s newsletter, local school listings, connections to police departments, community newspapers, interactive maps, additional pages for special-interest groups, interactive discussion areas and much more.

The alliance with AT&T Wireless launches Neighborhood Link into a wireless environment by providing its valuable neighborhood-related content on AT&T Digital PocketNet service and provides Neighborhood Link users with important new content from AT&T. AT&T Digital PocketNet users will now have access to local calendar information, local school phone numbers and addresses, specific neighborhood information, including the neighborhood association newsletter and association contact information, as well as access to all community pages and all information in the Neighborhood Link Police & Safety section. AT&T Wireless will provide Neighborhood Link’s 30,000-plus online neighborhoods with information on local AT&T sponsored events, more detailed information on AT&T Digital PocketNet service as well as tips on responsible and safe use of wireless phones.
