WELLS FARGO TEAMS UP WITH NEIGHBORHOOD LINK TO BRING FREE NEIGHBORHOOD WEB SITES TO SACRAMENTO
SACRAMENTO, CA March 12, 2001 - Neighborhood Link (www.neighborhoodlink.com), the Internet-based community network that enables metropolitan-area neighborhood associations to create their own free, interactive Web sites, today announced that Wells Fargo has signed on as a corporate sponsor in Sacramento to help bring this civic resource to its community.
“We’re very excited that we have teamed up with Wells Fargo to bring our one-of-a-kind civic service to the Sacramento community,” said Ted Pinkowitz, CEO of Neighborhood Link. “Having a corporation like Wells Fargo that is as community-focused as we are makes this sponsor an outstanding match for Neighborhood Link.”
“Wells Fargo is proud to be a corporate sponsor of Neighborhood Link,” said Pam Conboy, Regional President for Wells Fargo’s Northern California Region. “Using leading edge technology and innovative programming builds strong communities. This displays a commitment to education and an extensive commitment to our communities, which is a key initiative of Wells Fargo.”
By connecting neighborhoods with city government, such as the Neighborhood Departments Service Areas, Neighborhood Link is becoming Sacramento’s primary resource for civic communication and information. Users have the ability to post and obtain information on their neighborhood, including schools, libraries, civic associations and neighborhood leaders.
Neighborhood Link enables neighborhood associations, homeowners associations, local clubs and organizations to establish and maintain their own Web sites quickly and easily by entering information into simple forms, which automatically and instantaneously create or modify Web pages. No knowledge of HTML or programming language is necessary.
